The American Trauma Society is pleased to announce that “Distracted Driving” will be the theme for the 2012 National Trauma Awareness Month campaign. This is a critical issue for public safety and demands action. STN is proud to collaborate with ATS, and many others, during the month of May being National Trauma Awareness Month. In the coming weeks, ATS will be sending electronic campaign materials for your use not only for May but also in the months thereafter. We urge you to start planning activities and events for May 2012 to highlight this year’s theme – “Decide to Drive—Stay Alive”. In addition, use the ATS web site materials to plan celebrations for your facility to educate and reunite trauma survivors and celebrate trauma care providers.
