#  Nurse Leadership Institute

![](https://www.traumanurses.org/_resources/images/core/inset-leadership-institute.jpg)STN's Nurse Leadership Institute directly supports and enhances the mission, vision, and strategic plan of STN by addressing the specialized needs of trauma leaders. The course utilizes experienced speakers, PowerPoint presentations, creative toolbox items, and blogs delivered over a 12-week period. All presentations are pre-recorded for flexible, on-demand viewing, with moderators remaining actively engaged each week to provide interactive support and timely feedback.

Leadership topics covered include Communication and Relationship Management, Leadership, Finance, Professionalism, Knowledge of the Healthcare Environment, and Business Skills and Knowledge.

Active participation in weekly discussions and completion of all assessments is required to progress through the course. Participants should anticipate a weekly commitment of approximately 2–3 hours. Applicants must be comfortable navigating an online learning environment and have access to a computer meeting minimum browser requirements.

Upon successful completion of all assignments and the final evaluation, participants will receive continuing nursing education contact hours. STN is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
