Nurse-physician communication is variable in quality and frequency, resulting in variable patient risk and provider experience. This session will include an overview of nurse-physician communication, how communication can affect patient outcomes, and provider experiences including longevity and burnout. Additionally, strategies for nurse leaders to develop a culture of communication and skills for front line nurses to improve communications will be discussed.
