The Society of Trauma Nurses-Europe is an affiliate of the Society of Trauma Nurses.

MISSION
The Society of Trauma Nurses- Europe is a professional nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure optimal trauma care to all people locally, regionally, nationally and globally through initiatives focused on trauma nurses related to prevention, education and collaboration with other healthcare disciplines. The Society of Trauma Nurses- Europe advocates for the highest level of quality trauma care across the continuum. We accomplish this through an environment that fosters visionary leadership, mentoring, innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration in the delivery of trauma care.

Research Webinar Series



This activity is a six-module, on-demand program, led by nurse researchers, who will take participants through each step of the research process, and share practical advice for planning, preparing, executing, and disseminating research. For each module, speakers include examples of research projects/elements that were executed well, and examples of studies gone wrong and lessons learned.

Course Outcome: Participants will have the fundamental knowledge that they need to succeed at each step of the research process.

Call for Presentation Proposals

  1. The Submission deadline is July 25, 2022. Speaker proposals will not be accepted after the deadline.
  2. All speaker proposals must be submitted online via the CATALYST website. The online form is available on the CATALYST website. Please visit https://catalyst.omnipress.com/#event-home/stn2023 to access the form.
  3. STN permits and encourages multiple submissions per speaker.
  4. STN membership is not required for speaker proposal submission.
  5. All submissions must include a professional head shot photo, and an executive biography.
  6. Please complete all submissions in a separate document (such as MS Word) prior to entering into the submission web site.
  7. Credentials should be listed in the following format: academic, licensure, certification, honors. Please note that credentials submitted in any other order will be changed to this format.

SPEAKER PROPOSAL FORMAT INFORMATION

  1. Session Outline: Title: Use key words to describe both the topic and the content (maximum 120 characters including spaces).
  2. Target Audience: What audience does this topic appeal to (i.e. emergency department, intensive care, trauma program manager, etc.)? Include any minimum knowledge and or skills required to benefit most from this session (maximum 250 characters including spaces).
  3. Session Type: Concurrent, Plenary or Pre-Conference Course (4 hours)
  4. Session Description: Please provide a concise yet comprehensive description of your proposed session. This description will be printed in the conference brochure and promotional materials. The description should include information to help attendees determine if they would like to attend the session. (maximum 500 characters including spaces)
  5. Objectives: Please provide three objectives related to your proposed session. Objectives should be specific, manageable and attainable. (maximum 500 characters including spaces).
  6. Key Content Points: Please identify three or more key content points which will be covered in your session. (maximum 500 characters including spaces).
  7. References: All submissions must include relevant references.

SPEAKER PROPOSAL REVIEW/ SELECTION CRITERIA

Speaker proposals are selected by a blind review from an impartial panel of STN conference planning committee members based on the following:
  1. Relevance to STN’s mission, vision, and values.
  2. All components of the submission are complete, in the correct format, and relevant to the overall theme of the conference. Forms must be fully completed; incomplete forms will not be considered.

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF SPEAKER PROPOSAL

Notification of selections will be emailed to all presenters by November 2022. In the event that your speaker proposal(s) are not selected for presentation at the annual conference, you may wish to pursue the opportunity to be considered for development of your topic for future presentation.
