Through the dedication of many STN leaders, the Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) program has evolved into a high-quality trauma education initiative available both in the United States and internationally. However, promoting ATCN in global settings can be challenging due to various factors.

Thanks to the efforts, support, and collaboration of several ATCN Directors and Faculty members, a successful course was conducted in Israel. The course not only created a safe environment for students to learn and practice trauma skills, but also fostered meaningful personal relationships that left a lasting impact on all involved.

This experience can serve as a case study highlighting the importance of trauma education in international contexts. Providing standardized advanced trauma care and skills is vital for improving the quality and safety of trauma care and enhancing the confidence of trauma nurses. In low- to middle-income countries, trauma remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Educating healthcare professionals in these regions can save lives and significantly reduce long-term suffering.
